Avondale's Only Full-Service Grocery Store Closing After Less Than Two Years

The Country Meat Co. Marketplace, Avondale's only full-service grocery store, is closing after less than two years in business, with owners Chanel and Tennel Bryant citing rising operating costs, theft, violence, and unmet financial commitments. The Black-owned market opened in February 2025 at Avondale Town Center on Reading Road, becoming the neighborhood's first full-service grocery store since 2008. "This decision was not made lightly," the Bryant family wrote. "We have fought for this store every single day."

Cincinnati Burger Week Returns With $8 and $9 Burgers at 80+ Restaurants Through July 19

Cincinnati Burger Week runs Monday July 13 through Sunday July 19 with $8 and $9 specialty burgers at more than 80 participating Tri-State restaurants. Download the official Burger Week app to map stops, track check-ins, and earn points, check in at five or more spots to enter for the grand prize package including $500 in restaurant gift cards, a Blackstone griddle, Kentucky Cattlemen's beef for a year, and a Sun Cruiser bike. West Side Wealth Management Firm Opening Flagship Office in Cleves

Triplecrown Wealth Management, a Cincinnati-based firm serving first responders, educators, and small business owners, is opening a flagship office at 230 S. Miami Ave. in Cleves as three of its five partners, all west side residents, look to deepen their community ties. Founding partner Clinton Kersting said the group wants to take advantage of Cleves's ongoing downtown revitalization. The firm specializes in financial planning, pension education, and white-glove service for working-class clients across Greater Cincinnati.
